Chairman of the Board of DPI and SCO Project Manager met with the Minister of Finance

The meeting arranged Olga Lavrova, who invited the leading partners of the Ministry of Finance among the local partner organizations.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss on the policy of department in sphere of cooperation with civil society.

The representatives of non-government organizations shared with the list of principal questions and problems. In particular, Nadezhda Dobretsova on behalf of Development Policy Institute offered to Minister to pay attention at necessity of the followings: 

• Institutionalizations inside of department process of elaboration and civil budget presentation;
• Set the demands with releasing the Ministry normative acts to LSAA about hold social hearing regarding the budget;
• Inform people about the course of work with new formula of Equal grant (transfer) to avoid repeating the story with categorical grant, when because of formula creating closed process, it brought a lot of consequences , which Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education have not solved yet;  
• In cooperation with Accounting Department researching, totaling and spreading practice of realization local budgets, including disruption and misuse, making by authorities of LSG to avoid it.

The participants of the meeting recognized that they participated at such a meeting with the Ministry for the first time, and that in the future it would be very useful to make this initiative on regularly basis.
