General background

An international conference on "Economic Journalism as a factor and an indicator of a market economy" in Bishkek on 11 and 12 October 2012. The conference was attended by 115 representatives of business, government, civil society, educational institutions and the media from 10 countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, USA. The two main groups of participants were journalists and expert community, including donors.
