On 23 March 2026, a Coordination Council meeting was held in At-Bashy district of Naryn region, aimed at enhancing the effective implementation of the 2025–2030 Socio-Economic Development Programme (SEDP). The meeting focused on aligning priorities, boosting investment activity, and ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth.
During the meeting, results of the monitoring of the Programme’s Action Plan were presented, including outcomes for 2025 and the first quarter of 2026. Significant progress was noted across key areas: 48 small enterprises were established, creating 217 new jobs, while private investments exceeded KGS 101 million. The total volume of attracted investments surpassed KGS 1.1 billion, demonstrating growth compared to the previous year.
As noted by the Head of the District State Administration, Mukhtar Sherbaev: “The implementation of the Programme is the foundation for sustainable growth of the district. It is important not only to meet targets, but also to adapt priorities, strengthen investment attractiveness, and take into account climate challenges”.
Participants highlighted the importance of creating a transparent and predictable business environment. A private sector representative stated: “Open dialogue with authorities and attention to inclusiveness create a solid foundation for long-term business and economic development”.
Special attention was also given to inclusive development and climate resilience, including ensuring equal access to opportunities for all population groups and reducing risks associated with climate change.
As a result of the meeting, key priority areas for the upcoming period were identified to support sustainable and inclusive development of At-Bashy district:
