On March 27, 2026, the Jeti-Oguz District of Issyk-Kul Region hosted the investment forum “Business in the Region – 2026”, aimed at attracting investment, stimulating local economic development, and creating new jobs.
The event was organized by the District State Administration in partnership with the Coordination Council, with technical support from the “Effective Governance for Economic Development” (EGED) Programme implemented by the Development Policy Institute, with financial support from the UK Government.
The forum aimed to strengthen the district’s investment attractiveness and facilitate the launch of concrete projects contributing to sustainable economic growth.

Participants were presented with the district’s investment potential, socio-economic development results, and the video “Seven Wonders of Jeti-Oguz District”.
The forum resulted in the signing of 16 tripartite memorandums between the district administration, local self-government bodies, and investors/implementing partners. The total declared investment volume reached nearly USD 600 million.

According to organizers, around 70% of projects already have identified investors, while the remaining projects are in the fundraising stage.

A local products exhibition was also held during the forum, showcasing artisans, food producers, and processing businesses, and providing a platform for promoting local products and building business linkages.
