DPI signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kemin District State Administration

During the meeting of the Coordination Council (CC) under the Kemin District State Administration, the CC members reviewed the results of the plan implementation and discussed the plan for 2024-2025.

“The meeting participants chose tourism, as part of the Great Silk Road, and the green economy as a priority area for local economic development. These two areas will be analyzed by the working group in the process of developing the Socioeconomic Development Program. In addition, the Kemin District State Administration plans to include the results of the study of the needs of the local population and business in the Socio-economic Development Program of the district for 2025-2027,” said Ainura Balakunova, senior expert on work with platforms of the Effective Governance for Economic Development (EGED)1 programme.

The Coordination Council also provides for the consideration of the draft SEDP, holding public hearings, monitoring and supervision of their implementation in its work plan.

In order to promote socio-economic development of the district and cooperate within the framework of the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Civil Identity of Kyrgyz Jarany in the Kyrgyz Republic for the period 2021-2026, the Development Policy Institute and the Kemin District State Administration decided to join forces and signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The parties express their support for the activities implemented within the framework of the EGED programme. Thus, through active participation in meetings to develop collective decisions on issues of local importance and by holding joint events aimed at increasing the participation of civil society and business in the development of the district.
