On April 8, 2021 another online consultation of the "Leadership School for Local Councils’ Women Candidates" was held. This time the meeting was attended not only by the participants of the School, but also by their observers, because the topic of the consultation was "Instruction for observers". The number of participants was 21.
During the meeting, the participants and their observers received detailed information on the rights and duties of observers during the electoral process, and got acquainted with the following topics:
- Constructing a polling station.
- Activities of PECs on the voting day.
- The order of organizing the voting.
- The procedure of establishing of voting results by the precinct election commissions.
- Organization of voting outside the premises.
It is to be reminded that "Leadership School for Local Councils’ Women Candidates" is organized in terms of the "Public Service Improvement" Project, financed by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by Helvetas and the Development Policy Institute. At the moment, 56 (86%) (22 from Issyk-Kul (76%), 34 (94%) from Jalal-Abad) out of 65 participants have registered in respective territorial election commissions (TECs). 9 (14%) women candidates stepped down to run the elections due to the various circumstances (mostly, family reasons).
