On 18 June 2026, the Coordination Council of the At-Bashy District held its regular meeting to review the implementation of the District Socio-Economic Development Programme for 2025–2030. The meeting brought together representatives of the district state administration, local self-government bodies, the business community, civil society organisations, and the EGED project.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the monitoring results of the Programme implementation covering the period from September 2025 to June 2026.
To date, the Programme includes a total of 222 activities, of which:
The overall implementation rate of the Programme has reached 31%.
Positive trends have been recorded across key development sectors of the district. In 2025, 48 small enterprises were established in At-Bashy District, creating 217 new jobs, while private investments amounted to KGS 101.5 million. During the first five months of 2026, an additional 26 enterprises were launched, providing employment opportunities for 81 people.
Significant progress has also been achieved in attracting investment. In 2025, the district attracted a total of KGS 1.1 billion in domestic and foreign investments, significantly exceeding the previous year's figures.
The tourism sector continues to demonstrate steady growth. In 2025, At-Bashy District welcomed more than 40,000 visitors. Efforts are ongoing to improve tourism infrastructure along the Tash-Rabat, Chatyr-Kol, and Kel-Suu routes, including the development of new guesthouses and roadside service facilities.
Particular attention within the Programme is given to developing agricultural clusters, including meat, dairy, honey, fish, medicinal herbs, sea buckthorn, and blackcurrant production.
“The monitoring results demonstrate that a systematic approach to planning and regular coordination among all stakeholders enable the district to move confidently towards its development goals. Increased investment, job creation, and business development confirm the effectiveness of the measures being implemented,” said Mukhtar Sherbaev, Chair of the Coordination Council and Head of the At-Bashy District State Administration.
The Head of the District also noted that the district administration, together with the Coordination Council, will continue strengthening strategic planning, monitoring, and investment attraction mechanisms to ensure sustainable socio-economic development in At-Bashy District.
