Monitoring of SEDP and Investment Growth: Results of the Coordination Council Meeting in Bazar-Korgon

On March 30, 2026, a regular meeting of the Coordination Council was held under the chairpersonship of Deputy Head of the Bazar-Korgon District State Administration, Asel Sansyzbaeva. A total of 15 council members participated, including 8 women.

During the meeting, the results of the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Programme (SEDP) for 2025 and for the period from the beginning of 2026 to March were presented. It was noted that a set of measures aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the district, improving the quality of life of the population, and effectively utilizing local potential has been implemented. Particular attention was paid to attracting investments, improving the investment climate, and supporting priority projects.

“The implementation of the SEDP allows us to take a systematic approach to the district’s development, strengthen its investment attractiveness, and ensure sustainable results aimed at improving the quality of life of the population. For example, the volume of investments increased by KGS 180,584,900 in 2025, while in 2024 it amounted to KGS 1,364,279,500,” noted Deputy Akim Asel Sansyzbaeva.

According to the presented data, a total of KGS 1,544,864,400 in investments was attracted to the district in 2025, including:

  • KGS 420,756,550 from the republican budget;
  • KGS 47,126,470 from the local budget;
  • KGS 824,516,100 from international organizations;
  • KGS 252,465,380 from private entrepreneurs and sponsors.

Entrepreneurship development also shows positive dynamics: in 2025, 228 small and medium-sized enterprises were established, creating 601 new jobs, including:

  • 112 in industry;
  • 105 in services;
  • 190 in trade;
  • 149 in agriculture;
  • 45 in the social sector.

The tourism sector also recorded growth (according to the official sources): in 2025, the district was visited by 104,055 tourists (compared to 99,100 in 2024), including 3,334 from far abroad. Budget revenues from tourism amounted to KGS 1,091,000.

Following the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of further strengthening coordination and implementing concrete measures to attract investments and develop key sectors of the district’s economy.
