A meeting of the Coordination Council was held in Kemin District

On March 27 a meeting of the Coordination Council was held in Kemin district, aimed at improving the effectiveness of the Socio-Economic Development Programme implementation, strengthening investment activity, and creating new jobs.

The meeting sought to align development priorities in light of current economic challenges and to prepare concrete investment proposals for the upcoming investment forum.

During the session, participants reviewed the progress of the program and identified next steps. Key priority areas include the development of tourism, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure, as well as the introduction of climate adaptation measures and the promotion of inclusive growth.

The decisions adopted include:

  • updating the development program in line with current priorities;
  • expanding the portfolio of investment projects;
  • strengthening the monitoring and evaluation system;
  • updating the action plan for 2026;
  • preparing investment initiatives for presentation to investors.

The achieved results demonstrate positive progress:

  • 667 new jobs have been created,
  • more than KGS 3.5 billion in investments have been attracted,
  • 8 projects with external investors have been implemented, and
  • 115 initiatives have been financed through the district development fund.

The expected impact includes an improved investment climate, increased employment, and enhanced quality of life through more effective coordination and implementation of priority projects.

Chairman of the Coordination Council A. Dubanaev: “The implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Program is a key instrument for ensuring sustainable growth of the district. Our task is not only to achieve planned targets but also to adapt priorities in a timely manner, strengthening the investment attractiveness of the territory”.

Business representatives also highlighted the importance of dialogue: “It is important that the Coordination Council provides a platform for open interaction and joint development of projects that can be realistically implemented,”  – said Council member K. Kemelova.
