The Osh City Hall invites its active citizens and CSO representatives to cooperate

In 2024, the city of Osh joined the international initiative "Open Local Governance" (OGP Local)1. Currently, the OGP Local network includes 162 local governments from all over the world; Central Asia is currently represented by only two cities – Bishkek and Osh.

“The Open Local Government Initiative is an international platform where local government bodies (LGBs) and citizens implement ideas, tools and mechanisms for openness, transparency and accountability of LSG, and exchange experiences. Within the framework of the Partnership “For the Development of Local Self-Government in the Kyrgyz Republic”, implemented with the support of the Government of Switzerland, the Development Policy Institute supports the initiative of the Osh city administration in this area and contributes to its successful implementation,” – said Azamat Mamytov, local resources specialist of the Partnership Programme “For the Development of Local Self-Government in the Kyrgyz Republic”.

Currently, the Osh City Hall is creating a working committee "Open Osh", which will represent the interests of local government bodies and civil society of the city on a parity basis. The Committee will have three representatives from each of the parties (3 representatives of the Osh City Hall and 3 representatives of civil society).

The Osh City Hall invites active citizens and representatives of civil society organizations to cooperate.
