The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic on June 8-10, 2022 in Strasbourg (France) is discussing with the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe (CLRACE)[1] the issue [2] of the possibility of obtaining the status of “Partner for Local Democracy” by the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the study tour, the parties discuss issues of cooperation between the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, support for the development of local self-government and effective regional structures; the establishment of interregional cooperation, especially in border areas, the implementation of the constitutional right of citizens to participate in local self-government.
The visit was organized with the support of the Project "Voice of Citizens and Accountability of LSG Bodies: Budget Process", funded by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by the Development Policy Institute (Voice and Accountability Project).
