During the consultation, participants were provided with information about "media kitchen" (disinformation, media hygiene, social media and the code of ethical conduct on social media), digital security, including data protection, copyright and liability.

The online consultation was conducted in an interactive format, involving the participants themselves, answering various situational questions and critical thinking exercises.

“The purpose of our event, which we divided into 2 sessions: Media Kitchen and Digital Security, was to instill new knowledge and skills on how to manage information in the Internet space, how to distinguish disinformation from reliable, what and how to publish, personal rights and responsibilities in social media and how to protect yourself when using data from the Internet, – said Ainura Balakunova, trainer-consultant.

The online consultation was a continuation of the practical training held on November 30, 2021 in Bishkek with the participation of representatives of five municipalities of the Chui region. Similar online consultations will be continued within the framework of the Project “Strengthening Resilience to Disinformation” with the financial support of the Civil Society Development Association, Kazakhstan, under the auspices of “Innovation for Change” (#I4C) [1].
