Since 2009 till 2024 DPI successfully implemented about 60 projects in the area of municipal and state administration, including municipal and state resource management and citizen participation in local developmemt planning and management (funding from SDC, FCDO, USAID, UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank, the European Commission, and other international organizations. The main principle of development or choice of a project is its full accordance to DPI’s Mission and possibilities for quality and timely implementation of the project.
DPI was the first local organization in Kyrgyzstan to directly implement SDC and USAID-funded projects aimed at developing LSG, local services, interbudgetary reations, and citizen participation in the budget process.

The Practical Dialogue for Local Economic Development project (PDLED) is being implemented by the Development Policy Institute as part of the Integrated Regional Development Program, funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH with co-financing from the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
The goal of the PDLED Project is to establish a regular dialogue between the private sector, government bodies and civil society, thanks to which these players will be able to prepare and implement measures and investments together that will improve the basic conditions for inclusive economic development.
As a result of the implementation of the PDLED Project, the potential of LSG bodies, civil society and the private sector will be increased for the joint implementation of projects aimed at creating an enabling environment for entrepreneurship and improving the well-being of rural residents.
Duration: 2020-2022
Project scope: The PDLED project interacts with Toguz-Toro and Kargalyk aimaks of the Toguz-Toro district and Abdy Suerkulov (Torkent) and Zhany-Zhol aimaks of the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region of the Kyrgyz Republic.
