Since 2009 till 2024 DPI successfully implemented about 60 projects in the area of municipal and state administration, including municipal and state resource management and citizen participation in local developmemt planning and management (funding from SDC, FCDO, USAID, UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank, the European Commission, and other international organizations. The main principle of development or choice of a project is its full accordance to DPI’s Mission and possibilities for quality and timely implementation of the project.
DPI was the first local organization in Kyrgyzstan to directly implement SDC and USAID-funded projects aimed at developing LSG, local services, interbudgetary reations, and citizen participation in the budget process.

Description of Project:
- National Human Development Report on LSG (NHDR) is a large scale research of the history, status and perspectives of the local self-governance development, including public opinion poll, focus groups, and round tables.
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:
- After conducting public opinion poll, focus groups, round tables NHDR was drafted and related products were created such as articles, databases, National Strategy on Local self-government development, Future vision of LSG up to 2020 and up to 2030. During development of the NHDR several legislative and conceptual initiatives were provided, for the first time phases and logic of LSG development in the Kyrgyz Republic was described. NHDR was approved by the Supervisory Board (Chairman – Head of the Presidential Apparatus and Plenipotentiary representative of UN in the Kyrgyz Republic). Presently NHDR is translated into Kyrgyz and English languages and will be published.
