Development Policy Institute (DPI) is a Kyrgyzstan non-profit non-governmental organization that brings together experts with many years of recognized experience in various areas of lawmaking, reform of state and municipal government, development of local self-government (LSG), communities and mass communications.

DPI was created in 2009 by Kyrgyz experts in the field of local self-government (LSG) and community development, with many years of experience and expertise.
Since its establishment DPI implemented about 60 various projects and activities in the projects framework were implemented both at local and national levels. DPI’s expert team include over 50 experienced experts in various field of LSG, regional development and public finance. DPI experts participate in all intergovernmental working groups relating to LSG and regional development.
Development Strategy of the Public Association “Development Policy Institute” for 2021-2025. In 2015, DPI adopted the organization’s Development Strategy for 2015-2019. This document describes the follow-on development strategy of DPI for the period 2021-2025. At the time of this Strategy preparation, DPI was established as a sustainable organization.
In 2021, the organization unites a large number of permanent and associate employees - experts with many years of experience in various areas of lawmaking, reform of state and municipal government, development of local self-government, and continues to successfully implement technical assistance projects in the field of local development in the Kyrgyz Republic (KR).
