On the 27th of February, 2013 the Development policy institute held the next press-session within the project on economic journalism development. The subject of the event was the latest changes in state policy and adjustments reflected on the state economy.

"Harmful impact of the State on the economy management" – thas is how the subject of today’s press-session sounded.

Akylbek Japarov, the ex-minister of Finance and Doctor of Economics, spoke as a speaker. The expert prepared presentation and showcased the analysis on the budget and tax revenues, explaining to the media how figures were calculated and how they reflect current situation in the economy. “Kyrgyzstan cannot afford non-execution of the plan for the tax collection. Among CIS countries, we are on the first place in the list of states that are dependent on taxes. Tax revenues constitute up to 90% of total state revenues." - said Akylbek Japarov .

Also he told about negative influence of state interventions on economy development, gave many examples of interventions that resulted stagnation and sometimes even reversals in state economy development. "The State has to create conditions for economy development, not to put a spoke in the wheels! How else can we name the latest novelties in legislation?”- asked he.
