On December 7, 2012, at the office of Development Policy Institute there was held a focus group on the transfer of certain authorities on administration of local taxes. The event was attended by the heads and income specialists of Bosteri, Lipenka, Sakaldy, Yuriev, Belovodsky, Petrovsky and Ivanovsky ayil aimaks of three regions.
During the focus group there were discussed the current problems of collection and administration of local taxes. In addition to discussion of the agenda item, participants were acquainted by the last legislative initiatives on the transfer of authority for the collection and administration of some taxes paid to the local budget.
The results of the discussions will be submitted for discussion at the national "round table", planned as part of the Project "Voice citizens and accountability of local self-government: budget process", funded by the Swiss Government in 2013.
