FIRST TIME EVER IN KYRGYZSTAN – ALL CITIES OF THE COUNTRY WILL BE GATHERING AT THEIR FORUM!!!

The State Agency for Local Self-Government and Interethnic Relations under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (SALSG) in cooperation with Development Policy Institute and the Public Fund "Urban Initiatives" invite you to participate in the «Happy Cities Network» Forum which will be held on May 11-13, 2017 in Bishkek City.

The purpose of the Forum is to promote cooperation between cities, both at the level of heads of local self-government bodies and at the level of agents of change – urban activists, initiative groups, entrepreneurs.

Preliminary program is available in Kyrgyz-Russian languages.

Nearly 200 participant are participating in the Forum: 90 representatives of mayor's office of all cities of Kyrgyz Republic (mayors, vice-mayors, representatives of city councils, municipal specialists), around 40 urban activists, about 30 foreign specialists on urban development (from Bishkek, Moscow, Zurich, Dushanbe, Kiev, Gyumri, Istanbul, Almaty, Yerevan, Ogre), representatives of government bodies and experts from the Kyrgyz Republic, the Media and international organizations.

The Forum of the Cities is held on May 12-13 in the Kasymaly Bayalinov National Library (right opposite the Circus). The Forum will be held in two dimensions: expert and public. Expert sessions to be held within the framework of the forum are of great importance and relevance both for the city mayors and for the state government bodies (preliminary program is attached). An extensive program for public sessions offers a wide range of topics and formats: from gardening to the build rights, from master classes to exhibitions.
